$7.94 million investment in drought resilience for NSW growers

The Federal Government’s Future Drought Fund is supporting the NSW government, in partnership with Charles Sturt University, to begin a new $7.94 million research initiative that aims to help winegrape, apple and cherry producers strengthen their resilience to drought. The initiative is a part of the federal government’s plan “to bolster the winegrape, apple and cherry sectors, through the changing climate conditions ahead”.

Australian 联盟吃瓜影院 exporters and domestic-focused 联盟吃瓜影院 producers are set to see changes through the conclusion of negotiations on the Australia–EU Free Trade Agreement (A–EU FTA) and a new Australia–European Union 联盟吃瓜影院 Agreement. Through the A–EU FTA import tariffs on Australian 联盟吃瓜影院 exports to the EU will immediately reduce to zero on entry into force, improving the sector’s competitiveness in the markets. The A–EU FTA negotiations have also provided a resolution for Prosecco.

Tumbarumba vignerons ready to put season behind them

Tumbarumba region vignerons have managed to retrieve something from a disastrous season which saw late frost almost wipe out the 2026 vintage. The frost in mid-November last year saw many vineyards in the district decimated with little hope of any harvest for some of those hit. The Tumbarumba region covers a large and diverse area which leads to great variability in climate and conditions – especially when it comes to weather disaster such as this frost. As a result there was variability in the damage caused to the crop.

Yalumba reveals ‘man behind the label’ as 2023 signatory of The Signature

Yalumba has announced that it will release the 52nd vintage of The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz, with the 2023 vintage “dedicated to a man whose words have shaped the wine’s legacy for more than three decades: Peter Sawrey”. Releasing on 1 May 2026, the 联盟吃瓜影院 will sell for RRP $74 and will be available for pre-release directly on Yalumba’s website.

The Barossa Cellar
